Considering the meaning, it doesn't really make sense to say a park bench is your shirt, does it? Or maybe it does to the younger folks (in which case I feel old). I think it might be even better if you drew a spread open newspaper on the bench so it could also be interpreted as "My other shirt is a newspaper."
I think the drawing of the bench is pretty well done for someone who is unfamiliar with Inkscape. I have a couple of suggestions. First, the bench seems to be missing its front legs. Also the bench seems stretched a bit too long. Finally, the text could use a bit of stylizing (e.g., font, size, colors, border, shadows, positioning, etc.).
I also wonder if the legs of the bench should be a different color like concrete gray just so there's a little contrast.
Again great first effort. I look forward to more from you.
I made a few changes based on your comments, thanks for the feedback.
In reply to this comment by lucky760: That's actually very funny. I like the phrase a lot, but its appearance could use a little improvement. Try using different fonts and size/spacing/alignment/colors to make it more "unique" rather than like something typed into Microsoft Word.
Side note: To eliminate all the excess space around your design in Inkscape, with nothing selected, click "File" then "Document Properties" then click the "Fit page to selection" button.
The content of your design carries a lot of potential, so I'm hoping you'll give it the oomph it needs to bring it up to the Smashing level.
I have an updated version of my "How some men take their coffee" shirt, but it won't let me post it. It says i've got text objects in it, but I've gone back, opened, made sure i've got all text put on "Object to Path" and tried again.
Ah ha! Worked a treat, thanks. Didn't know that had any baring on anything in svg land.
And thanks... simple, yet classy I thought
In reply to this comment by lucky760: Ah, just figured it out. You must have designed it while verrrry zoomed in because the design is super tiny. (Try opening the svg file in Firefox.)
Just select all and drag it much bigger in Inkscape then re-save and upload and it should work.
Btw, love your "classy as fuck" design.
In reply to this comment by spoco2: Any idea what's going on with this design I just put up? It looks fine in Inkscape, I can't work out why it's all blurred as a thumbnail on the site
After investigation, it seems as though the design could be in a borderline copyrighted region.. I'm not clear on the law about this though... Maybe I'll make it and show you for a decision or something
In reply to this comment by lucky760: Sorry, not a problem with your files. I've been making some server changes in preparation for our upcoming launch and some things are broken for a little bit.
I'll get your posts fixed asap.
In reply to this comment by Shepppard: Interesting, my latest two submissions aren't showing the pictures. It's saved as an SVG, and they're proper, (object to path, ect)
In reply to this comment by darkrowan: crap... somehow I got two of the same post in the queue... mind deleting one? First one said it errored (internal error, please try again). I thought I verified that it had not gone through before submitting again, I guess there was a delay on the first try.

whoa, this is really cool... as odd as this sounds, I have had a shirt idea for a while...
And really, it kinda looks better unblurred.

Hi spoco-
Just wanted to let you know I removed the gradient from your design:

Feature request: something like a (star)Discard for own design, in case things like this happen
