Acronym Shop Open for Business

We recently opened our very first specialty shop called the Acronym Shop available at acronym.teevirus.com. We'll add more over time as we have various common themes that several different tees share, but this is the very first.

Advanced InkScape Tutorial

This is a very nice tutorial for slightly advanced things you can do with InkScape, and it's well written and easy to follow. Take a gander:

Request for Feedback: Cow Go Moo

Curious for a bit of feedback for this design I'm drawing. It's a cow standing around... Going moo.

Anyway, what I'm unsure about most of all is if it should just be the cow by his lonesome:

Or if I should have him saying "Moo!" (which is always the way I've drawn him on paper):

Or if there should also be a little bit of grass underneath him:

In addition, if the "Moo!" text is preserved, what color should the letters and the bubble be filled with?

Thanks in advance for your input!

Convert Raster to Vector Images

Our friends at Neatorama just pointed out a great tip: Instead of drawing your vectors from scratch or manually tracing a raster image into a vector, you can try a service like Vector Magic. They provide online and offline programs that will automagically convert your raster drawings into vectors for you. It looks like you could even have a professional manually convert your drawings for you.

I haven't actually tested such services out myself and they don't seem to be free, but I thought there might be lots of people interested to learn they exist.

If you give such a thing a try, let us know how it turns out!

Welcome to Tee Virus!

Greetings and welcome to the latest site from we, the folks who brought you VideoSift.

We have had the idea for a very long time to create an online t-shirt store that sells really great, unique designs. But what we thought would make such a shop even more worthwhile is if everyone in the community could create and get paid for their own unique designs and also be the ones to vote on others. This voting will be our indicator about which designs would best go viral as actual tee shirts. And since we had the Varo CMS community voting engine at our disposal, we created Tee Virus! It's sort of a VideoSift for tangible stuff.

Check out the Spread tab for all the shirts currently available in our store. Browse through the Community Workshop for new, upcoming designs from members hoping to make it into the store. More importantly, you should try your hand at creating and submitting a design. If your tee goes viral in the Tee Virus store, you could earn a nice commission payment of 20% on every sale!

If you have any questions about how the site works, check the FAQ, and if you'd like to discuss with the community any questions or suggestions about how to create a design, discuss them here in Design Talk.

We welcome every member with open arms and hope you enjoy everything Tee Virus has to offer.
